Zemes is an advisory firm focused on renewables markets and carbon management.
Our main activities concern the intermediation of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, biogas, biomethane), brokerage of guarantees of origin of gas and electricity, consultancy and negotiation of PPAs and services related to Carbon Management.
We include among our contacts some of the main European Utilities, trading companies and investment funds.
Our team is based in Lucerne, Switzerland, and has gained over the years a long experience in the field of renewables and energy commodities intermediation.
We combine deep industry knowledge with dedication to the customer and passion for environmental issues.
BIOMETHANE
One of the consequences of the Paris Agreement is the increasing demand of biomethane during the past few years. The limited amount of the biomass available in Europe on the production side, created a demand-offer gap which is pushing the prices of biomethane products up.
We offer tailored advice to your needs!
- ASSET We broker existing biogas plants for conversion to biomethane (upgrading) and greenfield (ready-to-build) plants, providing consultancy throughout all phases: from scouting to commissioning.
- LBG (Liquified Biomethane) We support clients in establishing medium/long-term contracts for the supply of Bio-LBG, sourcing suitable producers and providing consultancy throughout the process (purchase price indexation, customs procedures, tax breaks, transportation, and delivery).
- GUARANTEES OF ORIGIN (GO) We provide advice on the correct management of Guarantees of Origin (assignment, transfer, and cancellation) on all European registries.
ELECTRICAL ENERGY
Having as focus the Italian market, we intermediate long term Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and Guarantees of Origin (GO) produced by different technologies (solar, biomass, wind, hydro). We support producers in maximising their production and end-client in fulfilling their economic and environmental targets.
We also intermediate existing photovoltaic assets or greenfield projects (ready to build) starting from a minimum size of 1 MWel.
CARBON MANAGEMENT
In an era of growing awareness of climate change, reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions has become a crucial focus for governments, companies and individuals.
Zemes AG aims to accompany Companies in achieving their short-term decarbonisation (Carbon Neutrality) and medium-long term (Net Zero emission) objectives.
In collaboration with our Partner Rete Clima, we support Companies in the development of concrete circular economy projects, sustainability, environmental and social communication and reporting, sustainable governance development and decarbonization to fight climate change (through carbon footprint, CO2 reduction and offsetting).

ALESSIA GILI
FOUNDER
Graduated from the Polytechnic University of Turin with a specialization in Electrical Engineering.
In 2005, I began working in the energy sector at one of Italy's leading multi-utilities, focusing on corporate development and strategic planning. In 2010, I created a company focused on industrial electrical and photovoltaic systems.
In 2022, I founded ZEMES AG, where I manage corporate development and relations with the authorities.
Environmental issues are my passion!
FABIO MANCIN
CEO
Born in Turin (Italy) in 1973, PhD in Physics.
I have been working in the energy sector since 2005, and since 2007 I have held various management positions such as Head of Functional Units, CEO, and Consultant.
Before joining Zemes in March 2024, I focused for several years on the renewable energy sector and the energy transition.
At Zemes, I focus primarily on business development and implementation, strategic partnerships, and corporate growth.
